Additional services
- Extrapolation of aquatic NPP data with annual frequency using CSV or SHP files (point or polygon)
This tool extracts and extrapolates values from an annual aquatic Net Primary Production (NPP) image dataset using user-provided spatial inputs. The analysis can be performed with: Shapefiles (SHP) containing point or polygon geometries or CSV files with geographic coordinates (e.g. latitude and longitude).
- Extrapolation of terrestrial NPP data with annual frequency using CSV or SHP files (point or polygon)
This tool extracts and extrapolates values from an annual terrestrial Net Primary Production (NPP) image dataset using user-provided spatial inputs. The analysis can be performed with: Shapefiles (SHP) containing point or polygon geometries or CSV files with geographic coordinates (e.g. latitude and longitude).
- Taxonomic checker
This services helps users in harmonise and standardased taxonomic names by using GBIF standards, ensuring consistency and interoperability. The service enriches the dataset by adding taxonomic hierarchy information, including taxon rank, phylum, class, order, family, genus, and species.
- Join table
This e-service allows users to integrate multiple tables by joining them based on a shared key. Users are required to select the columns to be used as the join key in each table to ensure correct record matching. The service enables the combination of biological, environmental, and trait datasets into a single, harmonised table, supporting consistent data alignment across different sources and facilitating downstream analyses. This additional service enables the integration of information from multiple tables by creating one-to-many relationships based on user-selected key columns. It allows users to combine biological, environmental, and trait datasets into a single “master table” containing all relevant information. By supporting flexible joins across different data sources, the service facilitates data harmonisation and complex analytical workflows. The Join Tables service can be included as a modular component within all workflows.
- Data Template Builder
This e-Service supports the generation of standardised data templates by assigning descriptive labels and harmonising parameter names, ensuring consistency across datasets by applying controlled vocabularies and SKOS-based thesauri. The service produces a standardised Excel spreadsheet as output, in which variable names and associated metadata are aligned with the corresponding terms retrieved from SKOS thesauri and Darwin Core standards, preserving semantic consistency and interoperability. This service facilitates the harmonisation and integration of phytoplankton and others datasets by generating analysis-ready files compliant with VRE standards. The output templates can be directly used as input for analytical workflows.
